Alright, I hear people are BEGGING for details so I'll give you what you want! I'm gonna take us back a little ways to the ominous Hurricane Irene. Now I know that Irene left some awful destruction in many areas of the country, but in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, it was nothing. In fact, we got so bored of sitting inside and watching the cloudy skies do nothing that we decided to head down to the beach!

When we showed up it was clear that we weren't the only ones with this idea. There were about a dozen people at the place we stopped and many more at all the places we passed.

It was pretty windy but no rain!

It may not have been that bad here but little Julia almost blew away a few times!

Next my mom and I went down to Cape Cod to spend the night before I got dropped off at SEA. After checking into our hotel, which had just regained power, we went to dinner in a little harbor, where all the boats had been stowed away for the hurricane.

We got some delicious seafood puttanesca with fun sea creatures in it.

Then we went to the part of Cape Cod that I nannied in when I was seventeen. The grandmother of the girls I babysat was there and so we sat and talked with her for a while, which was really nice. It was bizarre being back because it felt like I had left a week before, but it had actually been 3 years! We then went down to the beach I used to sit on everyday three summers ago, just as the sun set.
